Travel Insurance

To Travel Is To Live…

Life is not all about working hard, sometimes you just have to pack a bag, pick up your passport and live life to its fullest. However, we can’t throw all caution to the wind and sometimes the experiences that are designed to de-stress us, ends up distressing us. That’s why it’s important to be prepared, plan your trip and make sure that you have the right travel insurance in place for those unexpected events.

Travel insurance is designed to cover you for medical expenses, trip cancellation, losing your luggage or passports, travel delays and disruption, tour operators going bust and other potential losses incurred whilst traveling.

What type of cover can I get?

At Invicta, we have access to competitive prices and great levels of cover to suit your needs and requirements.

Standard travel insurance

Cover that we can offer comes in a range of options to best suit your needs including single trip, annual multi-trip and long stay, which is sometimes referred to as backpacker insurance. Each of these levels of cover are available with optional cover extension to include winter sports cover and travel disruption.

We can provide cover for most situations and destinations for UK and European residents.

Higher risk travel insurance

At Invicta, we like a challenge and sometimes so do our clients. We can obtain travel insurance to cover you for destinations where there has been civil unrest or areas of the world with fragile political and environmental situations. Even the most experienced travellers can quickly find themselves in challenging situations with increased exposure to dangerous circumstances.

Kidnap & Ransom

If you travel or conduct business in high risk areas, you should consider including kidnap and ransom cover to your travel insurance policy. In most incidences, people are kidnapped to obtain ransom money and very few victims are rescued or released safely without the ransom being paid. In these circumstances, government support cannot be relied upon as they will not pay any ransom demands for you.

Political & Natural Disaster Evacuation and Repatriation Insurance

If you are travelling or undertaking assignments in foreign countries, you may want to consider including political & natural disaster evacuation and repatriation cover to your travel insurance policy. Events over recent years have shown that political and economic instability can occur very quickly in some countries. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s travel advice to countries can change very quickly depending upon the stability of the country or if the country is experiencing a natural disaster or medical emergencies such as tsunamis, volcanic activity and disease outbreaks.

Do I really need travel insurance?

You wouldn’t go on holiday without your tickets or your passport. However, many people take a trip without travel insurance. Buying adequate insurance cover for yourself and your family could be the most important purchase when travelling.

What precautions have you put in place if something goes wrong, before or while you are travelling?

Travel insurance is a cost effective way of protecting yourself. If you don’t have the right insurance cover in place, your dream holiday could turn into a costly nightmare – with bills running into tens of thousands of pounds.

And if you are an employer, you have a duty of care to protect your staff when they are travelling. Corporate travel insurance helps to protect both your business and your employees in the event of disruption to travel, accidents or political and natural disasters.

Ask yourself, what happens if you fall ill when you are on holiday and need emergency medical treatment?

Or perhaps you need to cancel your holiday because you have been made redundant or a member of your family is taken into hospital.

What if the airline goes into liquidation or made bankrupt and you can’t reach your destination?

Travel insurance offers cover on a variety of situations that might occur before or whilst you are travelling.

So, how do I arrange cover?

Once you have decided what your travel requirements are, you should ensure you purchase the best level of cover for your individuals needs, which will depend entirely on the type of travel you are about to undertake. Remember: the cheapest policy might not necessarily be the best for you.
